Frequently Asked Questions

At MATTECH BEDDING, we want to make your shopping experience smooth and hassle-free. Below are some of the most frequently asked questions about our products, policies, and services.

General Question

What mattress firmness should I choose?

Choosing the right mattress firmness depends on your sleeping position, body weight, and personal comfort preference.

Soft (Plush)

  • Best for side sleepers.
  • Provides excellent pressure relief for the shoulders and hips.
  • Suitable for lighter body weights.

Medium Firm

  • The most popular choice for most sleepers.
  • Ideal for side, back, and combination sleepers.
  • Offers a balanced combination of comfort and support.

Firm

  • Recommended for back and stomach sleepers.
  • Suitable for people who prefer stronger support or have a heavier body weight.
  • Helps maintain proper spinal alignment.

If you’re unsure which firmness is right for you, our sleep specialists are happy to recommend the most suitable mattress based on your sleeping habits and body type.

Yes. At Mattech Bedding, we manufacture our own mattresses, allowing us to produce custom sizes to suit your specific requirements.

Custom mattresses are ideal for:

  • Custom-built bed frames
  • Camper vans & RVs
  • Yachts & boats
  • Hotels & serviced apartments
  • Homestays
  • Condominiums with non-standard bed frames

Simply provide us with your required dimensions (Length × Width × Height), and our team will recommend the most suitable mattress construction for your needs.

Most quality mattresses should be replaced every 8–10 years, depending on usage and the materials used.

You may need a new mattress if you notice any of the following:

  • You wake up with back, neck, or shoulder pain.
  • Your mattress has visible sagging or body impressions.
  • You frequently wake up feeling tired.
  • You sleep better in hotels or on another mattress.
  • Your mattress makes noise or no longer provides proper support.
  • Your mattress is more than 8–10 years old.

Replacing an old mattress can significantly improve your sleep quality and overall well-being.

At Mattech Bedding, we proudly manufacture and offer two in-house mattress brands designed to suit different lifestyles, comfort preferences, and budgets.

ROMATT is our premium mattress brand, crafted with high-quality materials and advanced sleep technologies to deliver exceptional comfort and support. Not sure which brand is right for you? Contact our sleep specialists for personalised recommendations based on your sleeping habits and preferences.

At the moment, Mattech Bedding does not offer a sleep trial for our mattresses.

However, we encourage customers to visit our showroom or exhibition roadshows to experience the comfort and support of our mattresses in person before making a purchase. Our sleep specialists are also available to recommend the most suitable mattress based on your sleeping position, body type, comfort preference, and budget.

As every mattress is made with hygiene and safety in mind, we are unable to accept returns due to personal comfort preferences once the mattress has been used.

If you have any questions before purchasing, our team will be happy to help you choose the right mattress for a comfortable night’s sleep.

Care and Maintenance

How do I clean my mattress?

Regular mattress care helps maintain hygiene and extend its lifespan.

Here are a few simple tips:

  • Vacuum your mattress every few months to remove dust and allergens.
  • Clean spills immediately using a clean cloth and mild soap. Avoid soaking the mattress with water.
  • Allow the mattress to air dry completely before placing the bedsheet back on.
  • Rotate your mattress every 3–6 months (if applicable) to promote even wear.
  • Use a mattress protector to guard against stains, dust mites, and accidental spills.

Avoid using harsh chemicals, bleach, or steam cleaning, as these may damage the mattress materials.

Yes. We highly recommend using a mattress protector to keep your mattress clean and hygienic.

A quality mattress protector helps to:

  • Protect against spills and stains.
  • Reduce the build-up of dust mites and allergens.
  • Keep your mattress cleaner for longer.
  • Minimise everyday wear and tear.
  • Extend the lifespan of your mattress.

Using a mattress protector is one of the easiest ways to maintain your mattress and preserve its condition.

With proper care, a quality mattress can provide many years of comfortable sleep.

To maximise its lifespan:

  • Use a supportive bed base or bed frame.
  • Protect it with a mattress protector.
  • Rotate the mattress every 3–6 months if recommended for your model.
  • Avoid standing or jumping on the mattress.
  • Keep the mattress dry and well ventilated.
  • Clean it regularly to remove dust and allergens.
  • Follow the care instructions provided with your mattress.

With regular maintenance, most quality mattresses can provide excellent comfort and support for 8–10 years, depending on usage and the mattress materials.

Natural latex pillows are durable and easy to maintain with the right care.

To clean your latex pillow:

  • Remove and wash the pillow cover according to the care label.
  • Spot clean the latex core using a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water.
  • Gently blot the surface—do not scrub or twist the latex.
  • Allow the pillow to air dry naturally in a shaded, well-ventilated area.
  • Ensure the pillow is completely dry before using it again.

Do not:

  • Machine wash or tumble dry the latex core.
  • Soak the pillow in water.
  • Use bleach or harsh cleaning chemicals.
  • Expose the latex pillow to direct sunlight for extended periods, as this may reduce its durability.

With proper care, a high-quality natural latex pillow can provide comfortable support for many years.
